For more details on company, visit our website at Metal Fabrication Engineer / Sheet Metal Design Engineer Experience: Minimum 15 years Department: Engineering / Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-time The Metal Fabrication/Sheet Metal Design Engineer will be responsible for leading end-to-end design, development, and fabrication of sheet metal components, assemblies, and structures. The role demands strong technical expertise in sheet metal engineering, advanced CAD proficiency, fabrication processes, and cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, vendors, and R&D teams. Design & Engineering - Lead design of sheet metal components, enclosures, frames, brackets, and assemblies. - Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and specifications. - Perform sheet metal design calculations. - Fabrication & Manufacturing - Oversee fabrication processes including cutting, bending, stamping, welding, finishing. - Quality & Standards - Develop inspection plans and quality criteria. - Evaluate and qualify fabrication vendors. - Project Leadership - Lead NPD and engineering projects. - Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, production, and quality teams. Expertise in sheet metal design and fabrication. - Strong CAD proficiency. - Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 15 years’ experience in sheet metal design or metal fabrication. Experience with ISO systems, PDM/PLM, FEA tools. - Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
