3D Generalist

Job Title: Senior 3D Generalist (Blender & Unreal Engine Specialist)Location: On-siteDepartment: Design & ProductionEmployment Type: Full-TimeExperience: 3+ YearsPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Generalist with comprehensive expertise in Blender and advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D environments, assets, animations, and real-time cinematic visuals. This role requires strong technical capability, artistic vision, and hands-on production experience across the full 3D pipeline.Key Responsibilities3D Environment & World Creation• Develop high-quality, optimized 3D environments using Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).• Build modular scenes, landscapes, lighting setups, and full world compositions.• Create and manage real-time cinematic sequences using Unreal Engine’s Sequencer.Blender Production ExpertiseHandle complete 3D asset creation within Blender, including:• Modeling (hard-surface and organic)• Sculpting• UV mapping• Texturing and shading• Rigging• Animation and morphing (shape keys, blend shapes, transformations)Ensure seamless, optimized asset export and integration into Unreal Engine.3D Animation & Morphing• Create smooth, high-quality animations for objects, props, and environment elements.• Develop morphing effects, transitions, and transformation-based animations.• Collaborate on camera animations and motion-based storytelling.Technical & Real-Time Pipeline• Create and optimize materials using Unreal Engine’s Material Editor.• Implement LODs, collisions, and real-time performance optimizations.• Utilize Blueprints for basic interactions and animation triggers.• Maintain scene performance, lighting accuracy, and render quality.Collaboration & Leadership• Work closely with art directors, developers, and cross-functional teams.• Provide guidance and support to junior artists.• Ensure high standards of visual quality and consistency across deliverables.Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred).• 3+ years of professional experience as a 3D Generalist.• Expert-level proficiency in Blender (mandatory).• Advanced-level expertise in Unreal Engine (UE5) (mandatory).• Strong understanding of PBR workflows, real-time rendering, and optimization.• Proficiency with texturing tools such as Substance Painter/Designer.• Demonstrated ability to produce cinematic-quality visuals in real-time engines.• Strong portfolio showcasing environment design, animation, and morphing work.Preferred Skills• Experience with Niagara VFX in Unreal.• Familiarity with Houdini for procedural workflows.• Experience using Megascans and photogrammetry assets.• Knowledge of geometry nodes in Blender.• Basic understanding of scripting or Blueprints.
