Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Sales to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading a high-performing sales team, and driving the company’s revenue objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, excellent strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets in a technology-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Performance Management: Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and implement action plans to address any shortfalls.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with overall company goals and ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement.
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee and support major contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing a sales team. Experience in the technology sector is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team, with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Client Focus: Strong client-facing skills with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
