We are looking for a comprehensive SAT prep trainer who can train our teachers to help students excel in their SAT exams and achieve their academic goals.



Responsibilities

1. Teacher Training and Mentorship
  • Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions to prepare teachers for effective SAT instruction.
  • Mentor teachers on lesson delivery, pacing strategies, and classroom management tailored for SAT prep.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to help teachers develop skills in test prep pedagogy.
2. Assessment and Evaluation
  • Oversee the use of diagnostic tests to assess students’ initial abilities and monitor progress over time.
  • Train teachers to interpret assessment results, identify areas for improvement, and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Establish and manage a reporting system to track and document teacher and student performance.
3. Instructional Strategy Development
  • Teach strategies for managing test anxiety, pacing during exams, and maximizing performance on multiple-choice and essay questions.
  • Develop tools and resources to aid teachers in delivering effective test-taking techniques and critical thinking skills.
  • Guide teachers on incorporating SAT-specific strategies into regular classroom instruction.
4. Collaboration with Academic and Administrative Teams
  • Work with Director and academic coordinators to ensure the SAT curriculum aligns with broader educational goals.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to set and achieve performance targets.
  • Communicate regularly with administrators to update on teacher progress and curriculum effectiveness.
5. Professional Development for Teachers
  • Organize sessions focused on professional growth, including classroom management, student engagement, and assessment best practices.
  • Create a structured professional development program to continually enhance teachers' knowledge and skills for SAT instruction.
  • Encourage teachers to stay updated on standardized testing trends and advancements in educational psychology.
6. Monitoring and Reporting on Progress
  • Establish metrics for teacher and student success, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze results from practice tests and other assessments to identify successful strategies and areas needing refinement.
  • Ensure progress tracking for each teacher is maintained and periodically reviewed to meet program standards.



Qualifications

1. Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification or formal training in test preparation instruction, especially SAT or ACT, is highly desirable.
  • Strong academic background with demonstrated expertise in SAT subjects: Math, Reading, Writing, and Essay sections.
2. Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching SAT or similar standardized test prep, with a proven track record of high student performance.
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring teachers, ideally with a focus on standardized test preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional design, specifically for standardized tests.
3. Skill Set
  • Deep understanding of SAT test structure, scoring methodology, and question types.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills with the ability to train teachers on effective test prep strategies, classroom management, and student engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting diagnostic test results and developing targeted learning strategies.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools, especially in SAT practice platforms and resources for the digital SAT.
4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for delivering training sessions, workshops, and instructional materials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build productive working relationships with teachers, administrators, and academic teams.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback, fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment.
5. Professional Attributes
  • Up-to-date with current trends in standardized testing, especially SAT and ACT changes.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, monitor teacher progress, and oversee curriculum implementation.
  • High adaptability to customize training programs based on individual teacher needs and learning styles.
6. Additional Certifications (Preferred)
  • SAT or ACT tutor certification.
  • Teaching certifications or credentials relevant to standardized test prep.
  • Professional development or educational leadership certifications are advantageous.
