The Role

As a member of the Mainframe team at DXC, you'll tackle complex challenges and foresee potential issues across various mainframe service line components. You'll be at the cutting edge of technology and modernization, working with some of our largest global clients. Your role will involve managing client systems data, providing daily solutions, and ensuring security compliance. You'll handle a queue of tasks, collaborate directly with technicians, and prioritize tickets to deliver optimal solutions. Job Role:

Possesses expertise in mainframe CICS+MQ technologies. Candidate will be responsible for the Management of Storage and related devices within a mainframe complex.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • As a Subject matter expert provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related ISV products.
  • Capable of Upgrading/Installing and Migrating CICS Transaction servers
  • Capable of Upgrading /Installing and supporting IBM & ISV related Products, for Eg : Compuware Abend/aid , ASG TMON/CICS. Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, CA Symdump.
  • Primary on call support for CICS and associated ISV products for eg : Compuware Abend/aid , ASG TMON/CICS. Omegamon for CICS, BMC Mainview, Compuware Xpediter/CICS, CA ACF2/CICS, CA Intertest, CA Symdump.
  • Diagnose CICS system and related product issues and follow up with root cause analysis
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and tests as scheduled
  • Knowledge about the CICS functionality and architecture

Required Skills:

  • Engineer with 5 Plus years’ experience systems programming experience
  • Basic Knowledge on the following technologies: z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, Third party products
  • Experience in CICS transaction server, related ISV products.
