We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Specialist - Payables to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing and processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review incoming invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Assist in the preparation of payment runs and handle any payment discrepancies.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and vendor files.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally prime, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
