Management:

Prof. A.K. Gosain, Founder and Director

Prof. Gosain is an IIT Delhi Professor Emeritus who has spearheaded the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the water resources sector and led the formulation of river basin management plans, drainage master plans and flood forecasting systems. He has been a reviewer of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Assessment Reports and pioneered the climate change impact assessment on Indian water resources. He has been on several high-level committees appointed by federal/state governments and National Green Tribunal (NGT) in India.


Prof. Raghavan Srinivasan, Director

Apart from his role at INRM Consultants, Prof. Srinivasan is the Director of the Texas A&M AgriLife Blackland Research and Extension Center. He is also a distinguished professor at Texas A&M University (TAMU). He is one of the developers of the widely used agro-hydrological model called Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT). Besides being the recipient of numerous scientific and academic awards, he is a distinguished alumni awardee of Purdue University and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).


JOB DETAILS

Position: Data and AI/ML Specialist

Type: Full-time, Onsite

Location: New Delhi, India


Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Mathematical Computing/Data Science/Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) with strong familiarity with water and climate sector or master’s degree in Water Resources/Disaster Management/Climate Science/Geoinformatics with demonstrated experience in big data, AI and ML


Role:

  • Development of physics and data-driven AI/ML models at local to global scales for hydrological modelling, climate change assessments, resource optimization and monitoring of natural hazards.
  • Development of Early Warning Systems (EWS) using supercomputing, data assimilation and AI/ML approaches
  • Extract insights from structured and unstructured satellite, sensor and in-situ data
  • Production of high-quality proposals, reports and presentations
  • Mentorship to junior employees
  • Interact and coordinate with diverse disciplines for their inputs
  • Take additional responsibilities, as and when required

  • Proficiency in word-processing, presentation and data analysis tools

  • Willingness to travel for project-related assignments
