This is a full-time on-site role based in Kochi and Anchal. The Overseas Education Counselor will be responsible for counseling, guiding, and providing tailored suggestions based on the student's abilities in selecting the course and college. · Guide students in exploring overseas education options aligned with their profile and desired courses.
· Identify academic goals and objectives for studying abroad.
· Provide detailed information on various study programs, universities, and institutions, ensuring alignment with the candidate's academic potential and budget.
· Offer insights into cultural, social, economic, and political aspects of life and studying in foreign countries, including information on climate patterns.
· Provide knowledgeable insights on career outcomes based on students' preferred options.
· Assist students in the application process, including necessary enclosures, form filling, and preparation of required documents.
· Listen to students' academic, emotional, social, and behavioral concerns in an open and non-judgmental manner.
· Review and edit applicants' essays, cover letters, and any recommendation/reference letters to enhance admission prospects and prepare them for interviews.
· Provide students with materials related to their chosen career or offer career counseling to align with their skills.
· Maintain positive relationships and coordinate with the Main Branch and other branches/associates for pending documents and payments.
· Maintain accurate ledger and computer records of counseled students and applications sent to specific countries.
· Stay updated with the latest immigration policies, study/work regulations, study visas, work visas, P. T. W., prospects of landing a job, maximum hours of work during term time and off-term, remuneration expectations, overall cost of living, charges payable to institutions, course fees, and prospects of Permanent Residency.
· Conduct pre-departure orientation to acclimatize students to the actual scenario/reality.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in any field, preferably in education, counseling, or international relations.
· Must have experience of 4+ years in the industry
· Profound knowledge of international education systems, including requirements, universities, institutions, courses, admissions processes, intakes, general costs involved, and available financial assistance.
· Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam are essential, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
· Strong organizational abilities to manage diverse tasks efficiently.
· Familiarity with the visa process, immigration policies, and governmental regulations.
· The ability to deliver excellent customer service on a day-to-day basis
· Cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of the typical challenges faced abroad.
· Possesses an affable personality, coupled with commitment, passion, and dedication.
