Role Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Leader to lead our Database Engineering and Analytics teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of database architectures, analytical workloads, and experience in managing production databases. You will play a key role in optimizing our database environments and enabling highly available and scalable data solutions on managed cloud platforms. Responsibilities we entrust you with Lead and manage the Database Engineering and Analytics teams, ensuring optimal performance and availability of all database environments. Oversee the architecture and operation of production databases, ensuring stability, high availability, and redundancy. Manage OLTP databases such as SQL Server and Postgres, as well as document databases like MongoDB. Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available database solutions with redundancy for critical business systems Manage and optimize OLAP databases for search and data analytics workloads. Lead efforts to deploy and manage databases on managed cloud services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data analytics initiatives, supporting machine learning projects and analytical workloads. Leveraging cutting edge technology for best-in-class data solution for our customers. What matters in this role Experience : A minimum of 15-20 years of experience in the industry, with at least 5 years of direct experience in managing database engineering teams, data lakes, and analytical workloads. Proven experience managing teams responsible for production databases and database architecture. Expertise in managing OLTP databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and document databases like MongoDB. Strong experience in setting up highly available, redundant database architectures. Proven experience managing OLAP databases for search and analytical use cases. Experience with cloud-based database setups on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience in data analytics and machine learning applications. Skills: Prior experience in Fintech, especially in managing data compliance and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of reporting solutions and tools for data visualization and business intelligence. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with Generative AI and databases such as TIDB and Pinot. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various functions.
