Job Summary:

As an Electronics Engineer at Ultraviolette, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of cutting-edge, high-performance electric vehicle technology with a global impact. Your primary responsibility will involve addressing issues related to BMS PCBs in the Production facility. Furthermore, you'll analyze battery cycling data and examine cell OCV, IR, and capacity, always with an aim to identify potential problems and contribute to the creation of a dependable battery pack.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for electric motorcycle battery packs to ensure their efficient and reliable operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as: - Mechanical engineers, Firmware engineers, and System architects.
  • Undertake tasks related to the BMS circuitry, including: - Circuit design, Schematic capture, PCB layout for BMS modules, and associated electronics.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of BMS prototypes to: - Ensure compliance with safety standards, meet performance requirements, and abide by regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyse battery performance data to optimize the BMS: - Evaluate voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge data and enhance battery efficiency and lifespan through optimized algorithms.
  • Assist in defining battery specifications and perform tasks such as: - Cell characterization, Validation.
  • Troubleshoot and debug BMS-related issues during the development phase, Production phase, and Field operation phase.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the design and development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium-ion battery packs.
  • Familiarity with Circuit Design, Analysis, and Simulation.
  • Proficiency in using Simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.
  • Knowledge of battery characteristics, chemistry, charging algorithms, and safety considerations.
  • Understanding of battery cell balancing techniques and algorithms.
  • Experience in embedded systems and firmware development for BMS applications.
  • Capability to analyze and interpret battery performance data using relevant software tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, suitable for a cross-functional team environment.
