This role is at the intersection of banking and analytics. It requires diving deep into the banking domain to understand and define the metrics, and into the technical domain to implement and present the metrics through business intelligence tools. We're building a next-generation analytics product to help banks maximize the financial wellness of their clients. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Analytics as part of the Zafin Product Team, you are a data-visualization subject matter expert who can define and implement the insights to be embedded in the product using data visualization tools (Data Viz) and applying analytics expertise to make an impact. If storytelling with data is a passion of yours, and data visualization and analytics expertise is what has enabled you to reach your current level in your career - you should take a look at how we do it on one of the most advanced banking technology products in the market today - connect with us to learn more. Collaborate with Business SMEs to identify and define the relevant metrics for financial services (e.g., Develop complex data models to integrate and aggregate data. Design and implement data visualization and reports based on an understanding of user needs and the data available. Work closely with the Data Engineering team to automate the calculation of metrics. Coach and mentor Data Analysts on data visualization best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Knowledge of writing efficient and readable SQL scripts to compute the metrics for reports and dashboards. Strong understanding of data modelling techniques to design well structured tables and relationships. Software Engineering mind-set: Understanding of applying software engineering discipline to analytics code (i.e., applying version control and unit testing practices to SQL)Proficient in the use of modern BI-tools. Experience with Dataviz: Proficiency in Python for data analysis. Understanding of banking data models.
