Role:  Senior Process Engineer Tech in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering Experience: 9+ years Develop, review, and optimise PFDs and P&IDs for the chemical industry and new plant installations. Prepare detailed mass balances, water balances, and energy balances for process systems and equipment design. Work in close coordination with the Senior Design Engineer and General Manager – Design & Engineering to finalise process layouts, system configurations, and integration with existing facilities. Support commissioning, start-up, and performance validation of new or modified process units. Analyse process data to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, yield, and energy consumption. Ensure compliance of all process designs with applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory standards related to battery recycling. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and control engineering, during design and execution phases. Participate in HAZOP reviews, risk assessments, and design audits to ensure safe and reliable operation of process systems. 9+ years of experience in process engineering, design, and commissioning within: ~ Chemical, metallurgical, or hydrometallurgical process plants. ~ Strong knowledge of process simulation, material and energy balances, and reactor/system design. ~ Familiarity with process modelling and design software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, AutoCAD, or equivalent). ~ Experience in equipment sizing, heat and mass
