About Our Client: Our client is an apparel and fashion company that specializes in providing embroidered clothes for women in India.

It provides an online-based platform that allows people to browse and purchase Kurta sets, Indo-western, and bottom wears for women apparel.

Job Description: The Head of Marketplace will be responsible for managing and optimizing all third-party online marketplace channels for the brand, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business and revenue goals.

This role will drive strategic growth on online marketplace platforms, leveraging data-driven insights to boost sales, enhance customer experience, and strengthen the brand's presence in the competitive women's apparel industry.

Key Areas of Responsibility: • Marketplace Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketplace strategy to drive revenue growth, ensuring that the brand is well-represented across all relevant e-commerce platforms.

• Product Listing & Merchandising: Oversee the creation and optimization of product listings, ensuring they adhere to platform-specific guidelines and are SEO-optimized to increase visibility and conversion rates.

• Vendor & Platform Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key marketplace vendors and platforms.

Negotiate favorable terms, promotional opportunities, and advertising placements to enhance brand visibility.

• Inventory & Pricing Management: Monitor inventory levels and pricing strategies across marketplaces to ensure stock availability, avoid overselling, and maintain competitive pricing while protecting margins.

• Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with marketing teams to implement effective promotional strategies, campaigns, and ads tailored to each marketplace, boosting product visibility and sales performance.

• Data Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyze performance metrics across each marketplace (e.g., sales trends, traffic, conversion rates).

Provide regular performance reports, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting strategies accordingly.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and logistics, to ensure a seamless marketplace experience that aligns with overall business objectives.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to marketplace policies and legal regulations, proactively addressing any compliance risks, intellectual property issues, or account suspensions.

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage a team of marketplace specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure top performance.

Establish best practices and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications & Skills: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in e-commerce or marketplace management, preferably within the fashion or apparel industry.

• Proven track record of successfully scaling and managing marketplace channels for a retail or apparel brand.

• Strong understanding of online marketplace dynamics, trends, and consumer behaviors, especially in women's fashion.

• Proficiency in marketplace platforms (e.g., Amazon, Ajio, Flipkart, Tata Cliq etc.).

• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills: • Experience with fashion or women's apparel-specific marketplaces.

• Familiarity with retail inventory management systems (IMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
