Job Description :
Process Design & Optimization :
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for automotive components and assemblies.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and enhance process efficiency.
Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and minimize cycle times.
Quality & Compliance :
Ensure processes align with quality management systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO standards.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process-related issues.
Perform statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies to maintain process reliability.
Production Support :
Collaborate with production teams to address day-to-day process issues and implement solutions.
Provide technical support for the production line, troubleshooting machinery and equipment issues.
Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for processes.
New Product Introduction (NPI) :
Support the introduction of new products by defining and validating manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of components.
Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for new and existing processes.
Tooling & Equipment :
Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling for improved efficiency and safety.
Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.
Data Analysis & Reporting :
Utilize data analytics tools to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare and present process improvement reports and proposals to stakeholders.
Safety & Environmental Standards :
Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations.
Implement ergonomic improvements to reduce risks to operators.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
3-5 years in process engineering within the automotive industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CATIA, or SolidWorks).
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes (welding, stamping, assembly, etc.).
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar).
