About Us
The Apeejay Stya University is a seat of global learning that offers rich opportunities for innovative teaching-learning, creativity and research across disciplines. It aims to bring about transformation of the society through value-based education, man-making and nation-building by blending together the dual identities of a technology and research-based university with a liberal arts institution.
Established by the Apeejay Stya Education Foundation in the state of Haryana (under Act No. 10 of the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Act 2010), the ASU provides students not only 'education for living and livelihood' but also 'education for life' and empower learners with a fundamental foundation in leadership and professional skills to face the challenges of the new liberalized global economy.
Situated amidst a sprawling, picturesque campus with state-of-the-art infrastructure on the Sohna-Palwal Road in Gurgaon district of Haryana, the ASU offers a wide range of innovative graduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across a plethora of disciplines that are based on the best education practices of some of the leading universities of the world. These are greatly facilitated by the strong industry-academia linkages, already established by the existing Apeejay institutions of higher learning in all disciplines being offered by the University.
KRA:
- Responsible for teaching via classroom instruction, directing projects,
- To support and guide students for their research and internships related work
- To develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching as appropriate.
- Responsible for providing photography and videography support to each school.
- Provide photography and videography support to the University events.
- Actively participate in providing content for ASU’s Social Media
- To design time to time new curricula and courses.
- To develop and implement innovative instructional methods
- To create, innovative and implement career-enhancement programs and activities.
- To review, evaluate and supervise academic progress of students.
- To timely monitor and observe the students attendance and assessments
- To ensure skill-based teaching in documentary making and supervise project work
- To Assist and support senior professor / Dean in their day-to-day tasks and functions / academic administration.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D / Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
- MA with minimum 55 % of marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry.
- Experience in industry will provide an added advantage to the candidate.
