Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging course content in digital photography, video production, film production, graphics and other allied fields of Mass Communication.
- Mentor and guide students on academic projects, research initiatives, and professional development.
- Independently handle the production of graphics, videos, and digital content for the university's official platforms, including (but not limited to) the website and social media.
- Build and maintain partnerships with industry professionals to facilitate internships, live projects, and hands-on training opportunities for students.
- Contribute to the design and periodic review of curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in media production and integrate them into the curriculum.
- Conduct research in relevant areas, publish in reputed journals, and actively participate in conferences and seminars.
- Foster a creative, inclusive, and student-centric learning environment.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Qualifications:
- Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in Mass Communication (or a closely related field).
- Minimum 4-5 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels along with a background of curriculum development and enhancement.
- Industry experience of 1-2 years or demonstrable success in professional projects will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on expertise with industry-standard software and tools for photography, video production, and graphics (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, CorelDraw, etc.).
- Strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical expertise.
- Working knowledge of Media Laws and Ethics, Print/Electronic/Digital Journalism, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in Media is preferred.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
