Position : Senior Leasing Analyst
Location : Mohali
Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in lease abstraction
Availability : Immediate joiners preferred
About the Role:
As an experienced Lease Abstractor, you will be responsible for performing lease administration activities, including abstracting critical information from various lease documents and entering the data into lease abstraction software. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial, as the abstracted data will be utilized across multiple departments within the client organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abstract and interpret commercial lease documents such as leases, amendments, subleases, and termination agreements.
- Input lease data into lease abstraction and accounting platforms with high accuracy.
- Review and validate peer abstracts to ensure all critical lease data is accurately captured, including tenant billing information, lease dates, square footage, recurring charges, and lease options.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary documentation related to development milestones, rent commencement notices, etc.
- Maintain and update tenant/landlord naming and usage descriptions for reporting purposes.
- Identify and flag items requiring additional information or follow-up with client stakeholders.
- Coach and train new team members on the lease abstraction process.
- Develop workflows to improve overall abstraction accuracy for the team.
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
- Strong experience in lease abstraction within the US real estate industry, covering office, retail, and industrial portfolios.
- Clear understanding of contractual terminologies and real estate documentation.
- Research-oriented mindset with an eye for detail.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret standard to moderately complex documents.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to learn new applications and processes with limited oversight.
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, trust, and integrity.
- Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom) or a related field.
- Proven experience in analyzing data and problem-solving.
- Experience in lease abstraction work, preferably in commercial real estate (including retail).
- Proficiency in lease abstraction/accounting platforms and software.
