Job Title: Proposal Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Manyata Tech Park) - Work From Office

As a Proposal Engineer, you will coordinate, prepare, and deliver technical and commercial proposals to address client needs. This role requires a deep understanding of software solutions, a methodical approach to proposal development, and strong collaboration skills to ensure the timely and accurate submission of winning proposals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client requirements from RFQ/RFP documents and ensure clarity of scope.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Technical teams to define the solution, deliverables, and costs.
  • Create detailed technical and commercial proposals using predefined templates.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure accuracy in technical designs and cost estimations.
  • Prepare project implementation timelines and identify dependencies and risks.
  • Ensure that all solutions align with the company’s capabilities and client requirements.
  • Route proposals through the required approval workflows (Technical Director, Sales Director, CEO).
  • Ensure compliance with internal tendering/proposal/estimation guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements and RFQ/RFP instructions or bidding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals in the designated company system and track proposal status in the sales pipeline.
  • Archive finalized proposals and maintain proposal templates for future use.
  • Monitor key metrics like proposal turnaround time and on-time submission rate.
  • Act as the single point of contact between stakeholders during the proposal lifecycle.
  • Communicate proposal status, challenges, and deadlines effectively.
  • Liaise with procurement, finance, and legal teams to address contractual and pricing considerations.
  • Process orders and hand them over to project managers for execution.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of software, system integration, cloud, IOT, automation, and IT solutions.
  • Proven experience in the related field, tendering, proposal, and estimation.
  • Prior Experience working with Saudi Arabian clients or markets is a plus
  • Proficiency in tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM systems, and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Time Management skills.
  • Flexibility to align with Saudi Arabia business hours.

Experience:

  • 6– 10 years of Experience in tendering or proposal & estimation, or pre-sales within the software, IT, Automation, or system integration industry

Education & Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
