Our team is responsible for advancing the Converged Supercore® architecture, a cutting-edge platform that seamlessly integrates IP/MPLS with optical transport. As part of this team, you will contribute to developing fully converged routers and virtualized, carrier-grade platforms that drive innovation in NFV environments, enabling rapid service deployment and cost-effective scalability. About ACX Platform Software Team ACX platform is part of WAN BU, uur team in Juniper is responsible for driving technology leadership in the Juniper routing, access, and aggregation router developments for next-generation Metro and 5 G networks, deployed in some of the world’s largest service providers, data centers, enterprise, and metro ethernet networks. We are driving Juniper’s growth in revenue and market share in service provider, data center, enterprise, access, and aggregation space, by delivering market-leading products with continuous innovation and relentless execution. These products (either modular or chassis-based) are based on either Juniper homegrown switching ASIC or based on merchant silicon. Responsibilities In this role, you will: Design and develop forwarding software for high-performance networking products, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and robustness. Focus on key areas of packet forwarding engines (PFE), including L2/L3, MPLS, EVPN, Co S, and ACLs, to drive advanced functionality. Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance and support the architecture of router and switch products, contributing to our innovative technology. Troubleshoot complex issues within customer deployments and lab environments, leveraging strong debugging and core file analysis skills to deliver optimal solutions. Ensure process and quality focus to meet the high standards of our networking products. Qualifications Experience : 3+ years in the networking industry, with experience in router or switch companies preferred. Technical Expertise : Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) : Expertise in L3, MPLS, EVPN, Co S, ACL, and more. Router/Switch Architecture : Strong understanding of network processor-based product architecture. Broadcom ASICs : Experience with Broadcom Qumran or Jericho is a significant advantage. Coding & Debugging : Proficiency in coding, particularly in C/C++, with strong debugging and core file analysis skills. Networking Knowledge : Familiarity with IP, MPLS, Bridging, OAM, L2/L3 forwarding, VPLS, Multicast, Qo S, L2 VPN, L3 VPN, Filters, etc. Computer Science Fundamentals : Deep understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and programming best practices. Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
