Role: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)Contract Duration: Long TermWork Hours: 3:30 AM to 1:00 PM ESTWork Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)Location: 100% RemoteWe are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong expertise in managing Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS). The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and tuning databases while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security in mission-critical environments.Key Responsibilities:- Manage Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS) with proactive monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).- Perform performance tuning, SQL/PLSQL optimization, backup/recovery (RMAN), and patching.- Implement high availability and disaster recovery (Oracle Data Guard, Multi-AZ RDS).- Manage database security, access control, and compliance.- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for CI/CD integration and migrations.Must Haves:- 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).- Deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and diagnostics.- Experience with RMAN, backup/recovery, and patching.Nice to Have:- PostgreSQL or SQL Server experience on AWS.- Database migration (Oracle → PostgreSQL) with AWS DMS/Ora2Pg.- AWS certifications (Database Specialty / Solutions Architect).
