About the Role:

Be a part of a world-class trading operation Our client, a global leader in high-frequency trading, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their dynamic team in Gurgaon. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of mission-critical trading systems that operate at the forefront of financial technology.


Responsibilities:

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:

  • Rapidly respond to and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents and improve system reliability.

Operational Excellence:

  • Proactively monitor system health, identify potential risks, and implement preventative measures.
  • Optimize system performance and scalability to handle high-volume, low-latency trading activity.

Automation and Efficiency:

  • Leverage scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of robust monitoring and alerting systems.

Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Work closely with traders, developers, and other engineers to design, implement, and deploy cutting-edge solutions.
  • Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.


Qualifications:

Essential:

  • 4+ years of proven experience as an SRE, Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Python Developer or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP), and cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with building and maintaining Machine Learning pipelines.
  • Database querying skills (SQL).
  • Familiarity with trading systems and applications.
  • Intermediate-level Python development experience.
