Position Overview
We are looking for an accomplished and results-driven Senior Sales Director to spearhead our sales efforts across India and APAC, focusing on financial services and GCCs. This senior leadership role will require you to drive revenue growth by developing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the expansion of business in both the financial sector and the GCC space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial solutions, outsourcing models, and the GCC ecosystem, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders in India and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership:
Design and implement an effective sales strategy to drive growth in the financial services and GCC sectors in India/APAC
Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and customer pain points in the financial services industry and GCC domain, including shared services, outsourcing, and offshore operations.
Align sales strategies with organizational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Business Development & Market Expansion:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in financial institutions, banks, and other financial services firms to position the company as a strategic partner.
Establish and manage relationships with decision-makers at global and regional GCC , including outsourcing and shared service centers, to expand business opportunities.
Drive market penetration and client acquisition, ensuring effective sales outreach to both new clients and existing accounts.
Lead business development activities in identifying and securing large-scale contracts with multinational companies, including those in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, Insurance) space.
Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate long-term relationships with senior executives and C-level decision-makers in key client organizations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients, managing expectations, resolving complex challenges, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Understand client needs deeply and position the company's financial products/services or outsourcing solutions as the most suitable option.
Conduct regular reviews with clients to ensure continuous value delivery and to identify additional cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
Sales Forecasting, Reporting & Operations:
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, tracking progress against targets and adjusting plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
Implement robust sales processes and methodologies that ensure efficient deal execution from lead generation to closure.
Oversee CRM systems and ensure accurate reporting on pipeline, performance metrics, and key sales initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product, marketing, operations, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational vision.
Provide market feedback to the product and marketing teams to help shape the development of financial products and GCC service offerings.
Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise:
Position the company as a thought leader in both the financial services and GCC outsourcing markets.
Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance visibility and brand awareness.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and client demands within financial services and GCC sectors to anticipate market shifts and adapt strategies accordingly.
Experience and Expertise
15+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a strong track record of success in the financial services sector (BFSI) and GCCs
Proven experience in driving sales in both the financial and outsourcing domains, including offshore and shared services solutions.
A history of working with senior executives and closing large, complex deals in a consultative selling environment.
Expertise in setting strategic direction, and delivering consistent results in a fast-paced environment.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field (MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is highly desirable).
Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
Deep understanding of the financial services industry, outsourcing models, and the GCC landscape, including regulatory and operational challenges.
Ability to think strategically and develop tailored solutions for clients, while also having a hands-on approach to sales execution.
Expertise in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools for forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.
Regional Expertise:
Strong experience working in the Indian / APAC market, with a deep understanding of local business dynamics, cultural nuances, and regulatory environment.
Ability to navigate the complexities of global business in the GCC region, with knowledge of business practices, decision-making processes, and outsourcing trend
