EXPERIENCE

Duties you'll be entrusted with:

Operations Management:

• Strategic Planning: Develop long-term and short-term strategies to align the plant’s objectives with overall business goals. This may involve identifying opportunities for expansion, efficiency improvements, or product diversification.
• Daily Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all plant activities, ensuring that production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and

materials, to optimize production processes.

Production Planning and Control:

• Scheduling: Develop production schedules based on customer orders and inventory levels.
• Coordination: Collaborate with different departments, such as procurement, logistics, and quality control, to ensure overall seamless factory operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Quality Assurance:

• Quality Control Programs: Develop and implement robust quality control programs to monitor

and maintain product quality.

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and address any deviations from quality standards, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.

Safety and Compliance:

• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local, state, and

federal safety regulations.

• Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the

workplace.

Inventory Management:

• Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with the procurement, field production and logistics

teams to ensure a steady supply of raw materials and timely delivery of finished goods.

• Forecasting: Utilize forecasting techniques to predict demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

• Budget Development: Develop an annual budget for the plant, considering production targets, maintenance costs, Manpower cost, and other operational expenses.
• Variance Analysis: Regularly analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions to

ensure financial targets are met.

Performance Management:

• Goal Setting: Establish clear performance goals and expectations for employees, aligning

individual objectives with overall company objectives.

• Regular Feedback: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to

employees, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.

Succession Planning:

• Talent Pipeline: Identify and groom high-potential employees for key roles within the plant,

ensuring a smooth transition in case of promotions, retirements, or unexpected departures.

• Skill Assessments: Conduct regular skill assessments to identify areas for improvement and craft training programs to address skill gaps.

Audit Facilitation:

• Audit Preparation: Ensure that all necessary documentation, reports, and records are

maintained accurately and are readily accessible for external audits. This includes quality control

records, safety compliance documents, inventory logs, and equipment maintenance schedules.

• Compliance Assurance: Coordinate with various departments to ensure all processes, from

production to inventory management, comply with regulatory standards and company policies,

minimizing potential audit findings or issues.

• Corrective Action Implementation: Analyse any findings or recommendations from audit reports, then collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions promptly, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Continuous Monitoring: Establish and enforce regular internal checks and pre-audit inspections to proactively identify and address areas of improvement, ensuring the plant is always audit-ready.

Expectations from you:

Basic Requirements

• Any degree
• Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with functions such as Production Operations, Quality, Dispatch.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Overall Plant Operations
• Ability to think laterally, logically and critically with an attention to detail.
• Experience working in the FMCG/Food Processing/ Food manufacturing industries.

Additional Requirements

• Specific experience in spices / Food Dehydration
• Familiarity with reporting.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term business development.
