We are seeking an experienced Certified Scrum Master with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Agile practices and strong proficiency in Jira to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading Scrum teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery while driving continuous improvement and ensuring Scrum principles are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies:
  • Lead Sprint Planning , Daily Standups (Daily Scrum) , Sprint Reviews , and Sprint Retrospectives with efficiency and focus.
  • Ensure that all Scrum events are conducted effectively and that they produce actionable outcomes.
  • Guide teams in creating clear sprint goals and defining product increment delivery.
  1. Team Coaching and Mentoring:
  • Act as a servant leader, helping team members improve their Scrum knowledge and self-organization.
  • Provide coaching on Agile principles and Scrum best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior Scrum team members and support them in their development.
  1. Impediment Removal:
  • Identify and proactively remove obstacles that impede team progress, whether technical, procedural, or organizational.
  • Act as a point of contact for addressing team concerns and resolving conflicts or misunderstandings.
  • Work with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other departments to eliminate external barriers to team performance.
  1. Collaboration with Product Owner and Stakeholders:
  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-groomed product backlog, ensuring that items are clear, prioritized, and ready for the team to work on.
  • Foster strong communication between the Scrum team and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment on goals.
  • Help ensure that the Product Owner understands Agile processes and practices.
  1. Agile Reporting and Metrics Tracking:
  • Utilize Jira to track and report on team progress, including sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and other relevant metrics.
  • Regularly review team performance and identify opportunities for improvement using Jira data and Agile metrics.
  • Provide visibility into team progress and health through regular reporting to stakeholders.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead retrospectives and help the team identify areas for improvement in both processes and collaboration.
  • Implement action items from retrospectives and support the team in adopting new practices that improve efficiency and quality.
  • Help establish a culture of innovation and self-reflection within the team.
  1. Fostering a High-Performance Team Culture:
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and ownership within the Scrum team.
  • Encourage open communication, psychological safety, and transparency.
  • Lead by example and create an environment of trust, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  1. Agile Best Practices and Process Adoption:
  • Advocate for and ensure the adoption of Agile principles across the team and the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate team practices and suggest improvements to Agile workflows.
  • Help teams manage their capacity and workload, ensuring that no team member is overburdened and that commitments are realistic.
  1. Advanced Jira Usage and Customization:
  • Expertly manage Jira boards, workflows, filters, and dashboards to improve team visibility and performance tracking.
  • Customize Jira to match team needs and optimize sprint tracking, backlog management, and reporting.
  • Provide training or guidance to team members on efficient use of Jira for managing user stories, tasks, and bugs.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
  • Proven expertise in using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, reporting, and tracking Agile metrics.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) and ability to apply them effectively.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with experience in leading Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams.
  • Ability to effectively remove impediments and resolve conflicts that disrupt the team's progress.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain strong working relationships across the team and with stakeholders.
  • Experience working with distributed teams and facilitating remote Agile practices.
  • Ability to track team progress and performance using Jira, including velocity, burn-down charts, and other Agile metrics.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on pragmatic solutions.
