Job Summary: The Accounts Analyst will be responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting functions, with a focus on bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and general accounting practices. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  • Monitor and report on the company's financial performance, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with the latest accounting software and tools.
