Lead Engineer - GCP Data Protection

Experience: 12 to 16 Years

Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad

Notice Period: Maximum 30 Days

Organization: One of the leading GCCs

CTC: 60LPA or 30% on current CTC, whichever is lower.

We are looking for a Lead Engineer - GCP Data Protection to spearhead cutting-edge cloud transformation initiatives . This role is ideal for professionals passionate about designing secure, scalable cloud platforms with a strong background in GCP and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead enterprise-wide cloud transformation projects with a strong focus on GCP .
  2. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
  3. Develop and implement data protection strategies leveraging GCP tools such as KMS, Secret Management, and DLP services .
  4. Design and maintain crypto key management systems , including lifecycle management and cryptographic algorithms.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and compliant data access solutions .
  6. Architect scalable Kubernetes-based infrastructures , ensuring high availability and security.
  7. Implement and optimize middleware services like CloudRun, pub/sub, and serverless technologies .
  8. Ensure compliance by deploying robust networking and security policies (VPC, RBAC, AD).
  9. Drive cloud governance , leveraging monitoring tools to enhance operational visibility and compliance.
  10. Enhance productivity and reliability by promoting DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines, and scripting automation (Python/Shell).
  11. Lead the design of landing zones , storage solutions, and databases for enterprise-level cloud platforms.
  12. Foster collaboration across global teams to deploy innovative cloud services aligned with organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional GCP Cloud Certification is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience in data protection tools , cryptographic key management, and Terraform module development.
  • Proficiency in GCP cloud services , including networking, middleware, and security solutions.
  • Exposure to Azure Arc, Google Anthos , and SRE principles is a plus.
