Position: Neo4j developer
Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)
Experience: 4+ years
Hands-on skills: Neo4j, Cypher, ETL Processes, Git, CI / CD
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Design & Modeling: Design and implement graph database models in Neo4j based on application and analytics requirements.
- Query Development: Write, optimize, and manage complex Cypher queries to extract, process, and analyze data.
- Data Integration: Work on data ingestion, transformation, and ETL processes to ensure data consistency and accessibility within Neo4j.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize the Neo4j database performance, focusing on indexing, caching, and query efficiency.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, backend developers, and data scientists, to integrate Neo4j with other data systems and applications.
- Documentation: Document data models, queries, and processes to support scalability, maintainability, and team knowledge sharing.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct regular testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain data accuracy and system performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years in database development or data engineering, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Neo4j and Cypher query language.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cypher query language, Neo4j graph database design principles, and data modeling.
- Programming Skills: Strong skills in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, for Neo4j integration and scripting.
- Data Integration: Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and APIs to move data to/from Neo4j.
- Graph Theory: Solid understanding of graph theory, data structures, and relationships in graph databases.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data requirements into efficient database solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Neo4j Aura or other cloud-based Neo4j environments.
- Knowledge of integration with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with additional NoSQL or relational databases.
