Mandatory skill – Neo4J – More than 4 years. The most recent project should be on Neo4J.

Questions to be asked to the candidate:

  • How many projects have you worked on with Neo4J? (Ans: Should be more than 1)
  • What is the technology you used for your current/latest project? (Answer: Should include Neo4J)
  • Do you know SQL? (Answer: Should be Yes)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Design & Modeling: Design and implement graph database models in Neo4j based on application and analytics requirements.
  • Query Development: Write, optimize, and manage complex Cypher queries to extract, process, and analyze data.
  • Data Integration: Work on data ingestion, transformation, and ETL processes to ensure data consistency and accessibility within Neo4j.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize the Neo4j database performance, focusing on indexing, caching, and query efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, backend developers, and data scientists, to integrate Neo4j with other data systems and applications.
  • Documentation: Document data models, queries, and processes to support scalability, maintainability, and team knowledge sharing.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct regular testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain data accuracy and system performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in database development or data engineering, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience in Neo4j and Cypher query language.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cypher query language, Neo4j graph database design principles, and data modeling.
  • Programming Skills: Strong skills in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, for Neo4j integration and scripting.
  • Data Integration: Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and APIs to move data to/from Neo4j.
  • Graph Theory: Solid understanding of graph theory, data structures, and relationships in graph databases.
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines for version control and deployment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data requirements into efficient database solutions.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Neo4j Aura or other cloud-based Neo4j environments.
  • Knowledge of integration with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with additional NoSQL or relational databases.
