In our journey towards Digitally Viksit Bharat , We are seeking a skilled Android Native Development Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Android development and experience creating applications that deliver seamless, responsive user experiences on a range of Android devices. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to build and maintain high-quality Android applications. This role requires a hands-on leader capable of guiding the team through the complete development lifecycle and contributing individually to app development.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Project Management: Lead a team of developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
  • App Development: Design, build, and maintain reliable, efficient, and high-performance Android applications.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code, adhering to best practices in mobile development.
  • Feature Implementation: Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code and ensure that designs are consistent across all devices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to develop new features and improve existing ones.
  • Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing of applications, resolve performance issues, and fix bugs to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development to continuously improve skills and application quality.
  • Documentation: Document code, processes, and project knowledge to support collaborative development.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8+ years in Android app development, with 2-3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and releasing multiple Android apps on the Google Play Store.

Technical Skills:

  • Languages: Proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and Java.
  • Frameworks & Tools: Strong experience with Android SDK, Jetpack Components (such as Room, LiveData, ViewModel, etc.), and Material Design principles.
  • APIs: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries and services (e.g., Firebase, Retrofit).
  • Testing: Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and Android UI testing.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git and version control practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Advanced Android Components: Familiarity with Coroutines, RxJava, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM/MVC architecture patterns.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery practices (e.g., Jenkins, Bitrise).
  • Experience with Dependency Injection: Familiarity with frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
  • Design Patterns: Understanding of common design patterns and the ability to apply them in app development.
  • App Store Optimization: Experience in optimizing apps for the Google Play Store, including ASO best practices and user engagement metrics.

Compensation:

  • Annual package between ₹25,00,000* and ₹40,00,000*, based on experience and qualifications and Interview.

  • Notice Period: A minimum of four months, with a return contract to be signed.
  • Work Arrangement: Full-time, in-office role based in Baner, Pune.
