About the Business Unit

The Languages business encompasses all non-English or Indic Brands within the Times Internet portfolio, featuring a presence in eight regional languages across India, including Navbharat Times in Hindi, Maharashtra Times in Marathi, Vijay Karnataka in Kannada, Samayam in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, and I am Gujarat.

Our Languages division stands as the fastest-growing regional content platform in India. We have an audience base of 180 million users, with approximately one in every four Indians engaging with Times Internet Languages Platforms. We are the leading news and information player in the Indic Languages category on Comscore. We have maintained this dominance for several years now.

Diversity is at the heart of our community. Our audience is predominantly young, primarily below the age of 34 and has a strong female presence. We have a strong presence on social platforms with 24Mn followers on Facebook and 14Mn subscribers on Youtube, as on 15th Apr’24.

We've recently expanded our portfolio with two new brands. ET Regional, an extension of The Economic Times into Indic languages, positioned as the go-to hub for financially savvy users from diverse linguistic backgrounds. About the Role

  • We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Lifestyle Anchor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for lifestyle content, including but not limited to food, fashion, health, wellness, travel, and entertainment. The Lifestyle Anchor will be responsible for delivering informative and entertaining segments that resonate with our audience. This role requires excellent on-camera presence, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to connect with viewers on various platforms.
  • Work Responsibilities
  • Deliver live and pre-recorded lifestyle segments in a compelling and engaging manner.
  • Present a wide range of lifestyle topics, including interviews, product reviews, and event coverage.
  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all on-air appearances.
  • Create and share content across digital platforms, including social media and the company website.
  • Participate in editorial meetings and contribute ideas for lifestyle coverage.
  • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and editors to produce high-quality segments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest lifestyle trends and industry news.
  • Conduct thorough research on topics to ensure accuracy and depth in reporting.


Skills, Experience & Expertise

Experince: 5-8 years

Experience in lifestyle anchoring.

Familiarity with video editing software and content management systems.

Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field.

Proven experience as an on-air anchor, reporter, or similar role.

Strong storytelling and scriptwriting skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in social media platforms and digital content creation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
