Job Description: ● Should have thorough knowledge of US Payroll taxes, WHT and SUI and hands on experience in filing, speaking with US Tax authorities. ● Specific tasks assigned to a Payroll Tax Specialist include: ● Calculating employee and employer tax amounts 2024 Exela Technologies, Inc. Privileged & Confidential Page | PAGE 4 ● Reconcile and validate the payroll details received from ADP reports. ● Registering the company State Withholding account and State Unemployment Insurance accounts with respective tax authorities ● Filing of weekly, monthly, and quarterly WHT and SUI tax returns and reporting ● Monitoring of legislative changes ● Incorporation of legislative changes into the Internal payroll process. ● Reporting to management Generating reports for audits, going forward ● Handling tax-related employer queries Additional Requirements: ● Good command over English language as would be required to speak with US Tax Officers. ● Sound knowledge of US With Holding Tax and State Unemployment Insurance, how to file respective returns, report numbers. ● Liaison with tax officials. Qualification: ● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. ● At least 3-4 years’ experience working in US payroll. ● Expert knowledge of Excel ● Attention to detail. ● Ability to work accurately under deadline pressure. ● Service orientation and collaborative attitude.
