What You'll Do

Cisco IT is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is interested in joining the IT development organization. You will have the opportunity to guide the development and deployment of highly scalable and robust software.

As a Software Engineer with strong E2E and analytical skills at Cisco, you will:

  • Guide Cloud and data center infrastructure teams in an Agile DevOps model
  • Operate within a highly Agile development environment.
  • Shepard the development of Cisco’s IT infrastructure that is leading a transformation in how Cisco does business.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners and team members across Cisco globally.

Who You Are

We are looking for strong collaborators and self-starters who will take initiatives and require minimal guidance. Communication, both written and verbal, must be excellent, and an ability and desire to work with teams that span the globe is needed. Flexibility is key and the ability to work from home is needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
  • 5+ years of work experience AI/ML development, Java/Caching, Elastic/cockroachdb/Oracle
  • 5+ years of work experience with End-to-End business flows and architecture design
  • 5+ years of work experience with Relational and non-relational databases PL/SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ yrs experience in relational distributed databases like Cockroach DB
  • 3+ yrs experience in messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • 3+ yrs experience with Google cloud functions/ Amazon Lambda
  • 3+ years OWASP
  • Domain expertise in new product introduction and go to market deployments.
  • Knowledge in Cisco Licensing and commercial order fulfillment
  • Domain knowledge of customer account management
  • Expert level experience with device activation and orchestration
  • Expert level experience in end-to-end infrastructure provisioning and management
