Position Summary:
As a Security Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for monitoring and securing client environments, primarily using DNIF SIEM along with other industry-leading security tools. Working onsite with a customer in Noida, this role provides exposure to multiple security technologies in a managed security service setting.
You will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential security threats. This role requires a strong commitment to learning, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in rotational 24x7 shifts to always maintain security operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Security Monitoring and Analysis:
Monitor client networks and systems through DNIF SIEM for any signs of threats or anomalies.
Analyse security alerts and determine the potential impact and severity of incidents.
Work with security tools like Akamai WAF, Cisco IronPort Email Gateway, Brand Monitoring, DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Forcepoint, Proxy Forcepoint, etc., to protect against cyber threats.
Incident Response:
Respond to security incidents and escalations, performing initial triage and root-cause analysis.
Document security incidents and assist with the preparation of reports for further investigation by senior team members.
Ensure timely and effective response to alerts according to the established SLA (Service Level Agreement).
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain clear and regular communication with the SOC team and client stakeholders.
Provide brief updates on incident status and follow escalation protocols when needed.
Support SOC efforts to maintain client confidence in the security services provided.
Process and Documentation:
Assist in documenting SOC processes, workflows, and response actions to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Participate in training sessions, playbooks, and best practice updates to stay current with industry
standards and tools.
Rotational Shifts and Availability:
Perform all duties in 24x7 rotational shifts to maintain continuous monitoring of the customer’s environment.
Work onsite in Noida, providing real-time support and addressing security requirements directly with the customer.
Requirements
Qualifications & required exp.:
Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, Information Technology, or a related field.
0–1 year of experience or strong foundational knowledge in security operations, SIEM, or IT security.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, networking fundamentals, and security monitoring.
Exposure to SIEM solutions, specifically DNIF or similar platforms.
Familiarity with security tools such as WAF, DLP, email security gateways, and proxy solutions.
Enthusiasm for learning and a strong interest in cybersecurity as a career.
Ability to work in a team and adjust to rotational shifts in a high-stakes environment.
