Job Description :
Cloud Infrastructure Management :
Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based cloud servers and virtual machines on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security
Veritas L2 support for Build , Operation and patching activities
System Administration :
Perform day-to-day administration tasks for Linux servers, including user management, system updates, and software installations.
Automate routine tasks using scripts (e.g., Bash, Python).
Troubleshooting & Support :
Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues related to Linux servers and cloud services.
Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.
Security & Compliance :
Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux servers and cloud environments.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations.
Performance Optimization :
Optimize system performance and resource utilization for Linux servers and cloud resources.
Perform capacity planning and scaling to meet growing business needs.
Backup & Recovery :
Manage and verify backup and recovery processes for Linux servers.
Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
Documentation & Reporting :
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Generate and review performance reports and logs.
Collaboration & Training :
Work closely with other IT teams, such as network and application teams, to ensure seamless integration of services.
Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members.
Education Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience :
Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Linux system administration and cloud computing.
Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
Experience with cloud infrastructure services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Google Compute Engine).
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Grafana).
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred.
Soft Skills :
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
