Job Description:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based cloud servers and virtual machines on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security- Veritas L2 support for Build , Operation and patching activities

System Administration:

- Perform day-to-day administration tasks for Linux servers, including user management, system updates, and software installations.- Automate routine tasks using scripts (e.g., Bash, Python).

Troubleshooting & Support:

- Provide Level 2 support for escalated issues related to Linux servers and cloud services.- Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems.

Security & Compliance:

- Implement and maintain security measures to protect Linux servers and cloud environments.- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry regulations.

Performance Optimization:

- Optimize system performance and resource utilization for Linux servers and cloud resources.- Perform capacity planning and scaling to meet growing business needs.

Backup & Recovery:

- Manage and verify backup and recovery processes for Linux servers.- Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.- Generate and review performance reports and logs.

Collaboration & Training:

- Work closely with other IT teams, such as network and application teams, to ensure seamless integration of services.- Provide training and support to junior engineers and other team members.

Education Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Linux system administration and cloud computing.- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).- Technical Skills:- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).- Experience with cloud infrastructure services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Google Compute Engine).- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, Grafana).- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Administrator Associate are preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
