We’ve already done what most deep-tech startups only talk about, we trained and deployed our own large model and shipped real products used by developers and institutions. Our flagship model, Alpie Core, is a 32B-parameter reasoning model (4-bit optimized) that outperforms GPT-4o, Claude Sonnet 3.5, and DeepSeek R1 on reasoning and coding benchmarks. It powers a fast-growing ecosystem: Alpie Core — our flagship reasoning model, the foundation of all 169Pi products. 169Pi Playground — developer sandbox to test models, tune parameters, and experiment with reasoning tasks. 169Pi API Platform — the unified interface to access the Playground and purchase Alpie Core APIs for enterprise and developer use. Alpie Chat Assistant — launching this week, a reasoning-centric chatbot with deeper capabilities, real-time context, and domain-specific tools. Vibe Code / Alpie Code — our intelligent coding platform (Planner → Coder → Executor → Debugger → Memory Layer) that lets users build full products or websites end-to-end. Our technology is already deployed with ISRO and the Bihar Government, with multiple pilots in progress. We’re signing up new users daily on both the Playground and API Platform. 169Pi is a deep-tech company rooted in R&D, reasoning research, and real-world deployment. We’re now expanding our core engineering leadership as we raise a USD 7–10 M seed round to scale compute, research, and global reach. What You’ll Build & Own As Co-Founder & CTO, you’ll lead every layer of our technology from foundational model R&D to large-scale infrastructure, developer platforms, and applied products. 1. Model & AI Research Lead optimization and training of next-gen reasoning models (32B → 70B → 100B +). Oversee fine-tuning, quantization, evaluation, and benchmarking pipelines. Shape our research direction and co-author technical papers advancing reasoning-based AI. 2. Infrastructure & APIs Architect scalable, low-latency inference systems powering Alpie Core APIs. Manage GPU clusters, monitoring, auto-scaling, and performance optimization. Lead the developer platform — SDKs, dashboards, integrations, and documentation. 3. Product & Engineering Drive architecture for Alpie Chat Assistant and its tool ecosystem. Build Vibe Code / Alpie Code, our multi-agent system that transforms ideas into working products. Integrate cross-platform context retention, execution sandboxes, and collaborative features. 4. Leadership & Culture Hire and mentor exceptional engineers and researchers. Create a culture around speed > perfection, depth > noise, ownership > titles. Work closely with founders on product roadmap, IP strategy, and fundraising. Who We’re Looking For 4–15 years of experience in AI systems, deep learning, or distributed infra. Proven leadership in building and scaling deep-tech or AI startups. Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, PyTorch, CUDA, Kubernetes, and cloud infra. Hands-on experience with LLM training, fine-tuning, quantization, or agentic architectures. Open to working remotely or hybrid with the core team in Mumbai, India, we welcome global applicants (especially Indian founders/engineers abroad) willing to collaborate closely across time zones.
