Who we are Baaya Design is a pioneer in the Spatial Design segment creating innovative, bespoke art, artifacts and lighting for Hospitality, Corporate and Residential interior segments. The Baaya team works closely with over 15 adaptive art and craft forms, making one-of-a-kind creations that leverage the rich variety of artisan as well as modern-day skills. Through Design innovation – we bring our incredible indigenous skills to create ‘artful spaces’ for contemporary interiors. We have won multiple awards for our project work and as one of India’s Best Design Studios. Our experience centre and studio are based in Mumbai (Lower Parel). We offer a creative, collaborative, intensive work environment that is focussed on constant learning and innovation. We are looking for a Sr. Manager- Business Development as part of our team to deliver the growth requirements for our projects business. Our office is located at Lower Parel, Bombay. Roles and Responsibility 1. To meet business financial targets given by ensuring proper enquiry generation and research, generating meetings as per expectations and building pipelines with our target audience. 2. Creating an action plan to meet yearly goals, attend important networking events, business trips for the year etc. 3. To lead and manage team: Team meeting of targets, making team successful in achieving targets, Team productivity, building motivation, challenging team and ensuring discipline is kept as per Baaya norms. To ensure team is mapping the needed productivity information by utilising software tools like CRM or Project management to enhance performance. Build team skills with required training and enhancement. To close out team recruitments as required on a timely basis. 4. To attend and maximise the potential of trade fairs and related event participation, networking, building strong customer relationships. Creating tie ups that are beneficial to the business. 5. Mapping client departments, decision makers, type of work, geography and spread, influencers, customer touch points, as required to meet business goals. 6. Research and map new key accounts to acquire and generate business in the Hospitality/Airlines/ Museums/Government sectors and key Architects/Interior Design firms. 7. To uphold and build our business values, philosophy and culture in alignment with Senior management goals. 8. Build the Baaya brand with key inputs to the marketing team, to position and retain Baaya as a spatial design partner of choice, create engagement with Key customers and build customer relationships as required. 9. Any other requirement that may arise. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or MBA from a reputed university. Experience managing and leading teams. 7+ years of experience in business development or a similar role, preferably in our chosen industries. Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proficient in CRM software and/or other business development tools.
