Product Development Manager – Recruitment Software (External Consultant)Location: RemoteDuration: Contract-based-FlexibleExperience: Minimum 8+ years in Recruitment Software / RMS Product DevelopmentRole OverviewWe are seeking a seasonedProduct Development Managerwith deep expertise inRecruitment Management Systems (RMS)orApplicant Tracking Systems (ATS)to lead the enhancement and innovation of our recruitment software platform. As anexternal consultant , you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and end-users to drive product strategy, roadmap execution, and feature delivery that aligns with modern recruitment workflows and market demands.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & VisionDefine and refine the product vision for recruitment software based on market trends, user feedback, and business goals.Identify gaps and opportunities in existing RMS/ATS platforms and propose scalable solutions.Roadmap & ExecutionDevelop and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing features that improve recruiter efficiency, candidate experience, and data insights.Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle — from ideation to launch and iteration.Stakeholder CollaborationLiaise with HR leaders, recruiters, and tech teams to gather requirements and validate product decisions.Present product updates, demos, and performance metrics to executive stakeholders.User Experience & InnovationChampion intuitive UX/UI design principles tailored to recruitment workflows.Integrate AI/ML, automation, and analytics to modernize candidate sourcing, screening, and onboarding.Compliance & IntegrationEnsure product features comply with data privacy regulations (GDPR, EEOC, etc.).Oversee integrations with third-party platforms (job boards, HRIS, CRM, etc.).Required Skills & Experience8+ years of hands-on experience inbuilding or enhancing recruitment software , RMS, or ATS platforms.Proven track record ofleading product developmentin B2B SaaS environments.Strong understanding ofrecruitment lifecycle , HR tech trends, and user personas.Experience withagile methodologies , product analytics, and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.Familiarity withAPI ecosystems , cloud platforms, and data security best practices.Preferred QualificationsPrior consulting experience with HR tech firms or enterprise recruitment platforms.Exposure toAI-driven recruitment tools , chatbots, or candidate matching algorithms.Experience working with global teams and multi-region compliance requirements.What We OfferOpportunity to shape the future of recruitment technology.Flexible working arrangements and autonomy.
