About Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Functional Support Consultant** with expertise in **Oracle Opera PMS** to provide support and guidance for our hospitality management system . The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing the functionality of the Oracle Opera Property Management System (PMS), ensuring seamless day-to-day operations for our clients and stakeholders.


This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle Opera’s features, workflows, and functionality, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and support delivery. The Functional Support Consultant will collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure the system is configured, optimized, and aligned with business requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Functional Support: Provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle Opera PMS, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to bookings, guest profiles, check-ins/check-outs, billing, and reporting.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Assist in configuring, setting up, and maintaining Oracle Opera according to business needs, ensuring it aligns with best practices.
  • User Training & Documentation: Deliver user training sessions, create user guides, and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure efficient and effective system usage.
  • System Upgrades & Patches: Coordinate and assist with system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Issue Resolution & Incident Management: Serve as a point of contact for functional issues, escalate technical problems to the relevant teams, and track issue resolution.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Support testing efforts for new functionality, system enhancements, and customizations, ensuring system stability and data accuracy.
  • Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with IT teams, technical consultants, and developers to ensure system performance, integrations, and data flow across other software systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and recommend process improvements, new features, and best practices to enhance system usage and support business goals.
  • Client Support & Consultation: Provide expert advice to clients and internal teams, offering guidance on best practices, troubleshooting advice, and customized configurations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Hospitality Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with **Oracle Opera PMS**, preferably in a support or functional consulting capacity.
  • Proven track record in system configuration, support, troubleshooting, and user training.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Opera PMS, including modules such as Front Desk, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Billing.
  • Experience with data migration, system integration, and business process alignment within Oracle Opera.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL queries is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality support.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, if necessary, to support system issues or upgrades.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry or with property management systems is highly desirable.
  • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Specialist – Oracle Opera).
  • Knowledge of other hospitality-related software systems and integrations.
  • Multilingual capabilities a plus.
