Spare Part Manager

### Key Responsibilities:
1. **Inventory Management**:
- Ensure that the inventory of motorcycle spare parts is accurately maintained.
- Regularly monitor stock levels, track usage, and place orders to avoid shortages.
- Manage the storage of parts in an organized manner to facilitate easy retrieval.
2. **Ordering and Procurement**:
- Coordinate with suppliers or Honda's central parts distribution to order the necessary parts.
- Monitor lead times and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Stay updated on new products or parts that become available for Honda motorcycles.
3. **Sales and Customer Service**:
- Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the right spare parts for their motorcycles.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations when customers inquire about parts compatibility.
- Ensure efficient parts sales, both for repairs and for upgrades or modifications.
4. **Technical Support**:
- Work closely with the service department to ensure the availability of required parts for ongoing repairs and services.
- Assist the mechanics or service team in identifying and sourcing hard-to-find or specific parts.
5. **Quality Control**:
- Ensure that all incoming parts are of good quality, as per Honda standards.
- Handle warranty claims and returns, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
6. **Record Keeping & Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing parts.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, sales, and order status.
- Ensure compliance with Honda’s internal processes and standards for spare parts management.
7. **Team Supervision**:
- Supervise and train junior staff or parts assistants.
- Delegate tasks and ensure smooth workflow within the spare parts department.
8. **Budget Management**:
- Monitor and control the spare parts department’s budget.
- Track costs and ensure that procurement and sales are aligned with financial goals.
### Skills and Qualifications:
- **Experience in Automotive Parts Management**: Experience in managing automotive spare parts or a background in mechanical knowledge, especially for motorcycles minimum 1 year, is preferred.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong ability to manage inventory, track parts, and organize a large variety of components.
- **Customer Service Orientation**: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and service teams.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensuring the right parts are ordered, delivered, and used.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Understanding of Honda motorcycles and the types of spare parts required for repairs or upgrades.
### Challenges:
- **Managing Stock Levels**: Balancing the need to have sufficient stock of fast-moving parts while avoiding overstocking slower-moving items.
- **Keeping Up with Demand**: Ensuring that parts are available for both scheduled services and unexpected repairs.
- **Coordinating with Service and Sales Teams**: Effective communication with other departments to streamline operations and minimize downtime.
