You will be working in our Manufacturing and Technologies Department in the Subdivision of Assembly. This department works ardently towards assembly of resources and production by implementing best manufacturing practices and adhering to quality and safety standards.
Your Job Role Summary …
You will lead the Assembly Shop team by overseeing the activities and coordinating all operations to ensure on time and cost-effective production along with adherence to safety and quality standards. Your role entails optimum unitization of resources and support to the team to achieve the organization’s goals.
Your key deliverables will be…
Collating, analyzing and consolidating data and generation of production reports for both internal stakeholders and customers.
Facilitating and leading root cause analysis of manufacturing defects through effective utilization of problem-solving tools and techniques to reduce customer complaints.
Promoting Health, Safety and Environmental standards and protocols.
Overseeing the team activities to ensure they meet the daily production target and the quality standard.
Implementing various IR polices based on labour agreements and company policies.
Driving cost saving and optimization culture through lean management practices in stores and warehouses.
Timely reporting of any incident / accident in respective area along with proper RCA, action taken, counter measures and horizontal deployment and promoting strict adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental protocols defined.
Implementing, Reviewing and updating company records e.g. training matrices, absenteeism, MIS, performance indicator reports.
Initiate activities that focus on reduction in rework & rejection to ensure first time right & horizontal deployment through Mistake Proof / Poka-Yoke implementation across plants.
Conducting regular Gemba and internal manufacturing audits in assembly shop to ensure adherence to set protocols.
Promoting cross-functional teams for new products industrialization, ECN implementation, VAVE and various developmental projects.
Promoting manufacturing excellence initiatives related to product quality, cost, delivery; manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence to exceed customer expectations.
Facilitating reduction in transformation cost through implementation of various improvement initiatives related to productivity, inventory reduction, quality, resource utilization and capacity enhancement.
Communicating effectively and disseminating KPIs to the team drawn out from the strategic annual plan along with setting clear expectations and deliverables with clear deadlines.
Ability to drive the performance of team through upskilling them and providing timely and constructive performance feedback.
Essential and Desired Qualification…
Essential Qualification: BE– Mechanical / Automobile / Production.
Desired Qualification:
Line balancing and layout setting for productivity improvements.
Knowledge and Demonstration of Risk Assessment and Safety compliances in Assembly shop.
Excellent Production Planning, organizing, directing and controlling.
Variance analysis and reporting management.
Work Experience: 10 - 15 Years of Experience in Automobile industry.
Preferred Technical Skills and Certification:
LEAN manufacturing practices.
TPM, Machining & Assembly work practices, 2 W / 3 W / 4 W engine product knowledge.
5 S, Six sigma Methodology.
SAP application.
Knowledge of Quality systems like TS16949 / OHSAS.
Waste Identification & elimination practices.
Budgeting of Transformation Cost.
Preferred Industry Experience
Automobile industry.
Auto Ancillary companies.
Core and functional competencies.
Good knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, the product, production standards and efficiency optimization tools.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to design and implement strategies effectively to influence team members and stakeholders toward the accomplishment of set targets goals.
Ability to achieve results against an internal and external standard of excellence, showing a passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to supervise a complex task by breaking it down into manageable parts in a systematic way, logical problem solving with root cause analysis and impact.
Ability to manage change, showing a passion for improving the delivery of services with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Must have strong technical knowledge to provide sound and insightful recommendations in area of expertise to stakeholders and team members.
Open to learn and quest for continuously building knowledge and keeping abreast with the technical and procedural aspects of the job.
Ability to establish a systematic course of action for self or others to ensure successful project completion including effective planning, prioritizing and timely and effective resources management.
Must have financial acumen to understand the implications of financial decisions while executing project plans and controlling costs.
