We are currently searching for a passionate and proactive Sourcing Executive to join our team in Sourcing and Business Development.


Title: Sourcing Executive

Function: Supply Chain / Business Development

Reporting to: Head of Business Development – REDA Chemicals Distribution Group

Location: Mumbai, India


Job Overview


As a Sourcing Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials, selecting and analyzing potential offers and coordinating with the sales team to ensure the company’s business development and growth.


Role Functions

  • Perform sourcing activities, identify, and reach out to a variety of Indian or international suppliers/manufacturers of raw materials, and ingredients for a variety of industries, life science, food, and industrial chemicals.
  • Assist the sales and business development team in effecting more efficient sourcing processes, and introduce alternative sources of raw materials to save costs and maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of the specialty chemicals industry.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure successful partnerships.
  • Develop and manage proposal requests and negotiation strategies to achieve Business development goals and objectives.
  • Effectively collaborate across different organizational levels, functions, and businesses to align goals and objectives.
  • Analyze the chemicals industry to detect industry trends and new technologies and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Organize and coordinate trainings for the sales team with the sourcing suppliers
  • Able to report, interpret, analyze the sources with a creative contribution in selecting the best partners for business development
  • Implement business development tactics and follow up with the sales team to establish a sourcing supplier as a successful partner for REDA
  • Ability to travel locally and abroad as per business requirements to attend and participate in events and exhibitions and provide comprehensive sales and business development reports


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petrochemicals, or any relevant field
  • 5+ years of extensive Sales, Distribution, and Sourcing
  • A strong understanding of RFQ, RFP, Supply Agreements, Chemical CAS Registry Numbers, and Chemical Trade Names
  • A proven track record of delivering significant savings in a Chemical Sourcing role
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent sales and communication skills
