Job Description :

Designation : Assistant Manager– Purchase.

No. of position : One

Gender : Male

CTC : 08 to 09LPA.

  1. Develops a purchasing strategy, reviews and processes purchase orders.
  2. Co-ordinating with various internal departments and raises purchase intends
  3. Researches and evaluates various vendors to compare pricing and services.
  4. Critically evaluates and selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts.
  5. Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
  6. Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
  7. Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  8. Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
  9. Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  10. Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  11. Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
  12. Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
  13. Evaluates vendors based on product quality, timeliness and price.
  14. Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfilment of orders.
  15. Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  16. Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
  17. Keeps up with trends in procurement, travels to vendor locations for assessment
  18. Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary
  19. Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.

Qualifications/Skills:

  1. Any Degree or Masters in logistics, business, engineer preferred.
  2. Experience using procurement software and databases.
  3. 10 years’ experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.
  4. Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
  5. Supervisory and management experience.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Strong research and analytical skills
  9. Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
  10. Strong planning and organizational skills.
  11. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
