39k Group, India’s largest crypto trading firm by volume, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Quantitative Trader to lead and manage systematic strategies for delta-1 products - crypto spot and linear derivatives. Based out of our Gurgaon office, you’ll join a close-knit team of 25, managing strategies with direct ownership and focusing on maximizing returns while managing risk in one of the most fast-paced markets. This role is designed for someone with the experience and expertise to contribute from day one, rapidly deploying alphas and driving performance through innovative research and execution. Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and manage automated trading strategies with an emphasis on high turnover and short holding periods across crypto spot and linear derivative products. - Deploy and optimize trading strategies for delta-1 products, ensuring execution quality in highly liquid crypto markets. - Conduct rigorous backtesting and performance analysis on 39k’s proprietary research infrastructure, enhancing both existing strategies and exploring new opportunities. - Collaborate with our tech and research teams to refine execution systems, ensuring ultra-low latency performance. - Manage portfolio risk and Pn L, maintaining a live track record with demonstrable performance metrics and risk-adjusted returns. - Lead research efforts to identify, test, and implement new sources of alpha, utilizing advanced quantitative and statistical techniques. Qualifications: - A minimum of 3 years of proven success at a tier-1 HFT firm, with a replicable track record of profitable strategies and high Sharpe ratios. - Expertise in designing and managing quantitative strategies in a delta-1 trading environment, specifically for spot and linear derivatives. - Proficiency in Python and C++ (the role involves hands-on coding in a Linux environment). - Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and hit the ground running, with a sharp perspective on research and alpha generation. - Strong understanding of market trends, dynamics, and relevant statistical and machine learning techniques. - Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph D in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other quantitative disciplines.
