Role Overview
The role focuses on leading the planning, monitoring, and execution of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and hybrid) to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality and safety standards. It demands strategic and operational oversight, risk management, and the implementation of best practices in project management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules.
Utilize advanced tools like Primavera and MS Project for resource allocation and schedule alignment.
2. Monitoring & Control
Oversee real-time tracking of project progress.
Develop and manage KPIs to ensure performance alignment.
Address bottlenecks with cross-functional collaboration.
3. Risk Management & Mitigation
Perform risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies.
Proactively resolve delays and cost overruns with data-driven approaches.
4. Cost Control & Budgeting
Partner with finance and procurement to maintain budget control.
Optimize costs while preserving project quality and timelines.
5. Reporting & Communication
Prepare detailed project status reports for senior management.
Create dashboards for real-time monitoring.
Act as a bridge between site teams and senior leadership.
6. Process Improvement
Drive process standardization and optimization.
Incorporate best practices in project management for improved efficiency.
Skills & Competencies
Expertise in Primavera and MS Project for planning and scheduling is desired.
Profound understanding of the renewable energy lifecycle.
Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making capabilities.
Leadership and communication skills for managing teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with process optimization and best practices in project management.
Qualifications
Education :
Essential : BE/BTech in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred : MBA/PGDM in Operations or Project Management.
Experience :
15+ years in project planning and renewable energy sectors.
Proven experience in large-scale solar, wind, or hybrid projects.
