We are expanding our operations and looking for a skilled Procurement Manager to manage the sourcing and purchasing of high-quality ingredients, materials, and products that align with our brand's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the best price, quality, and delivery terms for raw materials and finished goods.
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for ingredients, packaging, and other materials that support the brand's focus on sustainability and quality.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage the procurement process to ensure timely availability of materials and products, avoiding stockouts or overstock.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends and work to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Quality Control: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all procured items meet the necessary specifications and quality standards.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and ensuring long-term partnerships.
- Reporting: Track and report on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement lead times to management.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that protect the interests of The Wellness Shop.
- Sustainability Focus: Ensure that all materials sourced align with the company’s sustainability and ethical sourcing goals, including packaging and ingredients.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the beauty, wellness, or FMCG industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
