Platform Engineer – Java/ Big Data/ KubernetesJob DescriptionSyntasa is seeking a high-caliber and dedicated Platform Engineer to join its India subsidiary, Syntasa Technologies India Private Limited. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a world-class development and support center. The India operations will serve as an extension of Syntasa’s US-based software development and support functions.Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize data processing and platform services using Java and Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).- Build and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIs supporting data-driven applications and integrations across systems.- Deploy, manage, and scale workloads using Kubernetes and containerized environments.- Work closely with platform, and Dev Ops teams to ensure reliability, automation, and performance.- Implement cloud-native and CI/CD best practices to streamline delivery and operations.Skills & ExperienceMust-Have:- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend and data-intensive applications.- Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.).- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.Nice to Have:- Familiarity with Kafka or other real-time streaming systems.- Knowledge of RDBMS (Postgre SQL) and No SQL databases.Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- 4+ years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Platform Engineer.- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, distributed engineering environment.-
