Opportunity of a Head of Procurement with a leading supply chain solution company @ MumbaiEligibility:-Minimum 10 Yrs plus experience with Procurement Department.Leadership Skills.If applicant is from the Plastic Industry its added advantage.Location:- Mumbai.Budget:- 50LPA.Job Summary:We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Procurement to lead and transform our procurement function. This role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing spend, ensuring supply continuity, and driving cost efficiencies across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and deep experience in sourcing, contract negotiations, and supply chain risk management.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectivesLead and manage the procurement team across categories, regions, or business unitsDrive cost optimization , supplier consolidation, and risk mitigation across the supply baseEstablish policies and procedures to standardize and improve procurement processesOversee strategic sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect categories, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are metLead vendor negotiations , long-term contracts, and supplier performance managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, legal, engineering) to align procurement with business needsDevelop and track KPIs and procurement metrics , reporting regularly to senior leadershipEnsure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and ESG standards in procurement activitiesLeverage technology and digital tools to enhance procurement efficiency and transparencyMonitor market trends , emerging risks, and innovations in procurement and supply chain managementQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering , or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)10–15+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of sourcing, category management, vendor management, and contract negotiationExperience in managing complex supplier networks , global procurement, and cost control strategiesExcellent analytical, commercial, and negotiation skillsStrong leadership, team-building, and change management capabilitiesProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), e-sourcing tools, and data analytics platformsIndustry-specific procurement experience from plastic companies is a plusKey Competencies:Strategic ThinkingFinancial AcumenStakeholder ManagementCommunication and InfluenceRisk ManagementSupplier Relationship ManagementProcess Improvement and InnovationInterested candidates please share your updated resume on
