Role Summary

The Head of Procurement is responsible for leading and optimizing the procurement function across the organization to ensure cost efficiency, vendor effectiveness, and material availability. The role involves strategic sourcing, contract management, capex utilization, and process enhancements that contribute to overall operational excellence and financial performance.

Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Legal, Project Teams, and Business Unit Heads

What the role entails Key accountabilities/ responsibilities

  • Lead procurement strategy and operations across the organization
  • Drive cost optimization and ensure timely material availability
  • Manage vendor relationships and performance
  • Oversee contract lifecycle and compliance processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet procurement needs
  • Improve systems and processes for procurement efficiency
  • Optimize inventory and support capex utilization
  • Ensure timely closure of procurement requests and renewals
  • Support strategic and productivity improvement initiatives

Requirement

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field

MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline

Experience

10+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain roles, including leadership experience

Experience in digital procurement tools, analytics, or automation
