Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Supervisor to oversee and implement workplace safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will monitor compliance, identify risks, and foster a culture of safety to ensure the health and well-being of employees and compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong knowledge of safety standards, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Policy Implementation:
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Training & Education:
Organize and lead safety training sessions, workshops, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
Ensure all employees are knowledgeable about emergency procedures, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
Incident Management:
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Coordinate with management and external agencies for resolution and reporting.
Monitoring & Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of the workplace, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Monitor and maintain safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and PPE.
Maintain up-to-date safety documentation, permits, and certifications.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and test emergency response plans, including evacuation and first aid procedures.
Coordinate drills and ensure all employees are aware of emergency protocols.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and ensure the organization adheres to all legal requirements.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors during inspections or audits.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
Experience: Proven experience in a safety role, with at least 3+ years as a Safety Supervisor or similar position.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ISO 45001).
Certification in workplace safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, NEBOSH, CSP) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in safety management software and reporting tools.
Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in industrial environments, including standing for extended periods and exposure to noise, heat, and dust.
Comfortable with climbing, lifting, or other physical activities required for site inspections.
